Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton

I’ve had some weird experiences in New York City. But photographing Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton in a sea of people was easily one of the oddest.

Below Paris and Nicky Hilton pose in coordinated Dennis Basso dresses outside Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week.

I’ll go out on a limb and say that Paris Hilton lives for these moments whereas Nicky Hilton would rather be at home watching Netflix.

And I don’t blame Nicky. I saw some legitimate breeches of personal space as guys touched or even grabbed Paris Hilton. People of all ages extended their phones to take selfies as if the sisters were statues. It was complete chaos. Even a large poodle was thrown in the mix. And I can now say that I stood next to Paris and Nicky Hilton without really trying to.

However, I rarely see celebrities outside the fashion shows in Lincoln Center because there are different entrances and exits. The Hilton sisters deliberately walked across Lincoln Center to maximize the amount of attention and photographs. The whole event looked carefully planned and coordinated. Paris put her phone next to her ear as soon as they exited the building, and she pretended to talk on her phone while signing autographs.

When I see the Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton, I too think of heavy metal.
